The Pondicherry Premier League (PPL) 2026 will be the third season of Puducherry’s main franchise-based T20 cricket tournament, organised by the Cricket Association of Pondicherry to support local cricket. The tournament has been included as an official CAP event for the 2026–27 season, with the competition planned in the Senior Men’s category. The format is expected to stay similar to recent seasons, with six franchise teams and a total of 34 matches.

PPL follows the modern franchise T20 format with a league stage followed by playoffs, where teams play in round-robin matches before moving into the knockout rounds. The previous season was played completely in Puducherry and included Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and the Final, and the same format is likely to continue in 2026. Matches are usually held at Siechem Ground, which is one of the smallest cricket stadiums in India.

Recent seasons have included franchises representing different areas and identities of the Union Territory, including teams such as Karaikal Kniights, Mahe Megalo Strikers, Yanam Royals, Villianur Mohit Kings, Ossudu Accord Warriors and Ruby White Town Legends. Pondicherry Premier League Schedule 2026

The Pondicherry Premier League 2026 will begin on July 7 and conclude with the final on July 26 at Siechem Stadium, Thuthipet, Puducherry. The Pondicherry Premier League teams include Villianur Mohit Kings, Mahe Strikers, Ruby White Town Legends, Genid Yanam Royals, Ossudu Accord Warriors and Karaikal Kniights.

Most matchdays will have two games scheduled at 2 PM and 6 PM, while the opening day starts with an evening fixture. After the league matches end on July 22, the competition will move into the knockout stage.
