Rahul Dravid's Son Selected in India Under-19 Squad

Anvay Dravid, the son of legendary India cricketer Rahul Dravid, has found a place in the India U-19 squad for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. Anvay is amongst the two wicketkeepers selected in this squad.

The 17-year-old is a talented wicketkeeper who has impressed through the age group cricket over the last few years. He now has a chance to stake his claim into the India Under-19 team which will play the World Cup in two years.

Anvay Dravid Selected in India U19 Squad

Two separate India Under-19 squads were picked for the tour. One squad is for the Under-19 ODIs while the other is for the multi-day matches. Anvay has been picked for the one-day squad of the India U19 tour of Sri Lanka 2026. The other wicketkeeper in the team is Rajat Baghel.

Anvay has previously represented India Under-19 B squad in the tri-series against India A and Afghanistan Under-19 teams last year. The youngster also played the BCCI Under-19 Challenger Trophy in 2025 as the top order batter-wicketkeeper.

Anvay Dravid India U19 selection is a moment of joy for the family which has given some of the best to the world of cricket. His father Rahul Dravid is one of the greatest batsmen of all time. After Rahul Dravid's success, his sons have followed his path and chosen cricket as their career.

Anvay is currently preparing for the KSCA Maharaja Trophy 2026, where he will play for Kings Mangaluru. He was signed for INR 90,000 by the Mangaluru in the auction. It will be a good preparation for him for the upcoming India U19 tour.

This is India Under-19 cricket team's first series since their World Cup win earlier this year. This also marks the beginning for the next generation of Under-19 cricketers as India look to defend their title. Yashbardhan Singh Chauhan will lead the team in both the formats.
