The excitement continues to build for India’s upcoming tour of Australia as the Men in Blue’s star performers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are all set to be back for the white-ball series in the ODI format. Tickets for the matches are selling fast. In fact, some matches are already sold out months before the series even begins.

Notably, India will play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T20 Internationals (T20Is) against Australia. The tour will take place from October to November 2025. One ODI will be played in Sydney and one T20I in Canberra. Both these matches are now officially sold out.

IND vs AUS Series 2025 Tickets Record Sale

Cricket Australia has shared some amazing numbers for the IND vs AUS series 2025 tickets. Interestingly, over 90,000 tickets have already been sold across eight matches. This happened in just two weeks after sales opened. A big reason for this huge demand is the large Indian population living in Australia. The Indian community is very passionate about cricket. Many Indian fan groups have booked large numbers of tickets.

Reportedly, the Bharat Army, a famous fan group, bought over 2,400 tickets. Another group, Fans India, purchased more than 1,400. One fan made big news. Amit Goyal, from the Brissy Baniyas club, bought 880 tickets for the T20I at The Gabba. He is the highest individual ticket buyer for one match.
Koel Morrison, a senior official at Cricket Australia, spoke about this ticket craze. She said, “Selling out tickets for the SCG ODI and the Canberra T20I four months in advance shows how excited fans are for this series.”

There’s another reason fans are rushing to buy tickets. This tour might be the last time two Indian cricket legends, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, play in Australia. Both stars retired from T20Is after winning the T20 World Cup in 2024.

They also stepped away from Test cricket. Now, they only play 50-over matches. This means the three ODIs in Australia could be their final appearances in the country. Cricket Australia knows how important these two players are. Reports say that the board is planning something special for them.

Stadiums are expected to be packed, with fans waving Indian flags and wearing blue jerseys. Many fans are planning to travel from different cities just to watch these games live.
