Richa Ghosh Imitates Rishabh Pant; Fails in the Process

During the Women's World Cup 2025 game between India and South Africa, an epic incident happened which reminded the fans of the Men's T20 World Cup final between the same countries. In this game, South Africa women were chasing a target of 251 runs which was set by India women earlier in the game.

While Indian bowlers strangled South Africa in the middle overs, the visitors produced an epic display of batting led by Nadine de Klerk to get back into the game. The bowling all-rounder came in to bat at No. 6 and derailed all the plans that India had with her epic power-hitting display.

Richa Ghosh Tries a Rishabh Pant

As the game was about to finish, India's wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh tried to slow down the game. During the 47th over of the match bowled by Kranti Gaud, Richa Ghosh went down and called for a physio. It seemed it had something to do with Richa Ghosh injury. The physio ran in and quickly attended the wicketkeeper-batter. Meanwhile Nadine de Klerk was upset as the moment could have taken the momentum away from South Africa.

During this moment, the fans remembered Rishabh Pant, who did the same against South Africa during the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 final. Pant went down on the ground as South Africa were cruising towards the target and called the physio. However, Ghosh's antics didn't help India as De Klerk went on to smash a few more boundaries to take South Africa past the finish line.

The Men in Blue went on to win the match later. During a recent event with Star Sports, Pant said in a lighthearted way that he had told the team physio that it was all an act. Supporters got even more excited now that Pant has made the bold revelation, proving that his sense of humour has not faded despite his journey from a catastrophic automobile accident in December 2022 to winning the T20 World Cup championship in 2024.

Meanwhile Rohit also praised Pant in an interview. Rohit Sharma said that Pant lied on the ground and claimed to be injured during the final, which helped India by slowing South Africa's progress. During a crucial moment in the game, Rohit praised Pant for his antics that helped India win the title.

Richa Ghosh's Stunning Knock in Vain

Nadine de Klerk stunned India by scoring an incredible 84 not out to match Richa Ghosh's dazzling half-century earlier. Ghosh broke records by playing the innings of her life. The young wicketkeeper was the Indian team's standout of the day as she helped them come back from a batting low and score a valiant 251 runs with a valiant 94-run knock off just 77 balls.
