Rinku Singh Lands Government Job, Becomes Officer in State Govt

India’s young batting sensation and Indian Premier League (IPL) star Rinku Singh is all set to take an unexpected yet honorable role off the field. The State government of Uttar Pradesh (UP) has decided to appoint the left-handed batter as the District Basic Education Officer (BSA). It is indeed a proud moment for him, his family, and the fans as well, who have watched him grow gradually in his career so far. He is appointed under the International Medal Winners Direct Recruitment Rules-2022. Moreover, the Director of Basic Education has also sent a letter regarding this to Rinku Singh.

Rinku Singh’s Journey from Local Grounds to National Honour

The State Government had decided to honour the national athletes who represent the country on an international platform. This is done by providing them with respectable positions in government services. For someone like Rinku Singh, who has been through many hardships in his life, this accolade will always remain close to his heart. He is one of the most talented players in the Indian team, which is the reason why he is honoured with this position in the State Government.

Rinku Singh’s father worked as a cylinder distributor at Khanchandra Gas Agency. He started his cricket journey from a young age, but was also helping his father. His first achievement came when he was in school. He won a title in international school cricket at the DPS school ground. From there, people started believing in his cricket talent and helped him to achieve his dreams. He was underrated for quite a long time, but the five sixes which he hit in 2023 against the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL opened the doors of success.

Rinku Singh’s Wedding Postponed by Three Months

The 26-year-old was set to tie the knot with Member of Parliament Priya Saroj on November 19. However, now, the wedding date has been postponed by three months. This happened due to Rinku’s cricket commitments in the upcoming months. The couple recently got engaged during a private ceremony in Lucknow on June 8. The pictures from their engagement went viral on social media.

Rinku’s father-in-law, Tufani Saroj, recently talked to Hindustan Times and talked about the reason behind the postponement of the wedding.

India will be hosting South Africa in an all-format series at the end of the year. The first Test of the series is scheduled to take place on November 14. However, ahead of South Africa, the Men in Blue will travel to Australia for a three-match ODI and five-match T20I series. Rinku has been a part of India’s T20I squad for a long time now, and he will definitely be seen playing against Australia. The tour will take place between October 19 to November 8. With that said, Rinku is most likely to get married just ahead of the next IPL season.
