Sandeep Lamichhane’s first stint as Nepal’s captain lasted from December 2021 to late 2022. During this period, he led Nepal in 14 ODI matches. The team won four games, lost nine, and had one tied match, giving Lamichhane a win percentage of 28.57%. Although Nepal faced several challenges during his time as captain, Lamichhane, the richest cricketer in Nepal, achieved a major personal milestone.

Sandeep Lamichhane had a strong record as Nepal’s captain in T20I cricket. He led the national team in 18 T20I matches, winning 13 games and losing just five. There were no tied or abandoned matches during his captaincy, giving him an impressive win percentage of 72.22%. His success in the shortest format showed his ability to lead the team and make smart decisions under pressure.
