Former SRH Cricketer Appointed Bowling Coach of Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Team

In recent years, domestic cricket has seen a boom across states that were not even in contention to compete well in the past. Jammu & Kashmir domestic cricket team has seen a rise in the talent pool as well as the opportunities after winning their maiden Ranji Trophy Title of 2025-26 season. It has also been observed that a majority of J&K players have been selected in the North Zone Team for the Duleep Trophy 2026, which shows the growing talent in the state.

Ahead of the upcoming domestic season, the state board has been making several steps to put up a great fight in this domestic season as well by hosting several multi-day friendly matches, along with appointing experienced cricketers in their coaching staff. In a recent development, a former SRH player has joined J&K cricket as a bowling coach for the U23 team.

Siddarth Kaul Bowling Coach Jammu & Kashmir U23

The Jammu & Kashmir cricket board has announced that Siddarth Kaul, who is a former SRH player, as a bowling coach of the U23 Jammu & Kashmir cricket team. Kaul brings a lot of bowling experience, with years of being part of the biggest cricket league in the world as well as featuring in 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is.

The right-arm pacer has also spent some time with the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) in the past, mentoring young talent. However, Siddarth Kaul Jammu & Kashmir coach of the U23 team, will be mentoring and training young fast-bowling talent from the state. The reason for Siddarth Kaul joining J&K cricket might be linked to his father, who has played first-class cricket for Jammu & Kashmir in the past.

Siddarth Kaul Career Overview

Siddarth Kaul is a former Indian fast bowler who made headlines by bowling the final over in India's 2008 Under-19 World Cup win. He became well known for his clever knuckleball and impressed everyone during the 2017 and 2018 IPL seasons with Sunrisers Hyderabad, taking 37 wickets in two years. His strong IPL performances earned him a place in the Indian team, where he played three ODIs and three T20Is. Kaul was also a key player for Punjab in domestic cricket and helped the team win the 2023–24 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy before retiring in 2024 to focus on his banking career.
