The TG20 League 2026 is the first edition of Telangana's new franchise-based T20 cricket tournament, organised by the Hyderabad Cricket Association. More than 1,300 HCA-registered players entered the auction pool for the opening season, with each franchise receiving a budget of ₹60 lakh and the option to pick up to 20 players. The TG T20 League player auction was held on June 7 at Ramoji Film City, where one of the best batsmen in India and the newly appointed vice-captain of the T20 national side, Tilak Varma, became the costliest signing after joining Medak Falcons for ₹33 lakh.
Fast bowler Mohammed Siraj was picked by the Warangal Warriors for ₹14 lakh. A total of 32 matches will be played during the 21-day tournament, which is being overseen by former TNPL CEO Prasanna Kannan.
