The TG20 League 2026 is the first edition of Telangana's new franchise-based T20 cricket tournament, organised by the Hyderabad Cricket Association. The Telangana T20 league will be held at one of the biggest cricket stadiums in India, the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal, Hyderabad, and is set to take place from June 20 to July 11, 2026.

More than 1,300 HCA-registered players entered the auction pool for the opening season, with each franchise receiving a budget of ₹60 lakh and the option to pick up to 20 players. The TG T20 League player auction was held on June 7 at Ramoji Film City, where one of the best batsmen in India and the newly appointed vice-captain of the T20 national side, Tilak Varma, became the costliest signing after joining Medak Falcons for ₹33 lakh.

Fast bowler Mohammed Siraj was picked by the Warangal Warriors for ₹14 lakh. A total of 32 matches will be played during the 21-day tournament, which is being overseen by former TNPL CEO Prasanna Kannan. TG20 League Schedule

The domestic tournament based in Telangana will begin from June 20, but the official TG20 league schedule has not been revealed yet and is expected to be out in the next few days.

The TG20 League captains have not been announced by the franchises. The tournament will consist of 8 teams, namely: Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Warangal, Medak, Nalgonda, Karimnagar, Palamuru, and Khammam.
