Uganda Tour of India 2026: Full Schedule, Squads and Venues

Uganda men's cricket team, also known as the Cricket Cranes, are all set to tour India during the second half of May 2026. This historic tour is a part of a partnership between Cricket Uganda (CU) and the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).

Wicketkeeper Fred Achalam has been given Uganda's captaincy for this tour which involves some of the players who participated in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. It will be a massive moment for Ugandan cricket as they tour a country which breathes this particular sport.

Mumbai, in particular, is the hub of cricket in India and it will be a perfect city to play for the African nation. It is expected to be a memorable experience for all these youngsters to play cricket in India. On this note, let's look at the Uganda tour of Mumbai schedule.

Uganda Tour of India Schedule 2026

The tour will begin from May 18 with the first List A match. Overall, Uganda will play five List A games on this tour. After the 50-over series, Uganda will play three T20I matches against the MCA team. The tour will conclude on May 30, 2026.

All these matches will be held in Mumbai. This tour will also act as a preparation for the he ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League B in Tanzania and the national selectors will keep an eye on the performers.

The chairman of Cricket Uganda Jackson Kavuma called it a massive step for them as they will be playing in a country which has produced some of the best cricketers in the world. He also thanked ICC chairman Jay Shah and MCA president Ajinkya Naik for this tour.

Uganda Squad For India Tour

Apart from the captain Fred Achelam, the squad includes Dinesh Nakrani, Alpesh Ramjani and Juma Miyaji. The fact that this tour is taking place alongside the IPL, the biggest cricket league in the world, will also excite these players. The squad includes the top cricketers in Uganda and they will be looking forward to play in Mumbai.
