Former India captain, Virat Kohli, joined the list of batsman with the most runs in cricket, becoming the third batter to score 28000 runs in international cricket after the legendary batters Sachin Tendulkar and Kumar Sangakkara. The right-handed batter achieved the milestone during the 13th over of the second innings with a four.

During the innings, he also crossed Sangakkara's 28,016 international runs tally and became the second-highest run-scorer in international cricket, just behind Tendulkar, who had scored 34357 runs in his career and is the player with the most runs in international cricket.
