Despite the Ellyse Perry wicket controversy, Australia clinched the win in the next over with 17 balls to spare. It was a comprehensive win by Australia as they showcased their credentials of being one of the best women's cricket teams in the world.

Chasing a modest total of 151 runs, Australia lost Georgia Voll early. But Mooney and Litchfield put up a strong partnership and ensured that their team crossed the line comfortably in the end.

Mooney was the top run-scorer with 64 off 49 balls while Phoebe Litchfield scored 48 off 35 balls. Perry remained unbeaten on 13 off 12 balls, ensuring that she stays at the crease right till the end.
