What Is the Truth Behind Gurnoor Brar’s Viral Photo on Social Media? Fact Check

Indian cricketer Gurnoor Brar has found himself at the centre of online attention after a photograph allegedly showing him in a bathroom mirror selfie began circulating on social media.

The picture, which appears to have been shared through a Snapchat story, has sparked curiosity among cricket fans, with questions being raised about its authenticity. Here's what is known about Gurnoor Brar viral photo controversy and the context surrounding the image.

Gurnoor Brar Viral Photo Controversy: Is the Photograph Real or AI-Generated?

The circulating image appears to show a Snapchat story posted under the name Gurnoor Brar, featuring a mirror selfie. The screenshot contains Snapchat-style interface elements, including a profile name, a story timestamp and a sticker creation option.

However, these visible details alone cannot establish that the picture was actually uploaded by Brar or that the account belongs to him. Screenshots and interface elements can be edited, recreated or manipulated.

The photograph could potentially be AI-generated or digitally altered, but there is no conclusive evidence available to verify that possibility either. Without the original post, reliable account authentication, labelling the picture real or fake would be premature.

At present, the Gurnoor Brar viral pic on social media remains unverified. There is also no established evidence confirming that the cricketer himself has addressed the circulating image. Therefore, the Gurnoor Brar controversy should be approached cautiously, without treating online speculation as fact.
