Kirti Azad Cockroach Janta Party

Many social media users were curious to know about “which cricketer cockroach janta party”. Kirti Azad, a senior leader from All India Trinamool Congress, reacted to the ongoing “Cockroach Janta Party” trend on X after recent remarks by Chief Justice Surya Kant sparked debate online. The former Indian cricketer humorously expressed his interest in joining the satirical platform, writing that he wanted to know the eligibility criteria for the “Cockroach Janta Party.”

Responding to his post, the CJP account said Azad’s contribution to India’s historic 1983 Cricket World Cup victory itself made him fully qualified to be welcomed into the party. This online movement started after a recent court hearing when the Chief Justice compared some unemployed youngsters and activists to “cockroaches.”

The remark quickly drew criticism on social media. Soon after, a satirical X account called the “Cockroach Janta Party” was created as a parody response to the comment. The account went viral soon after launch, gaining more than 15,000 followers within a day. Later, the page claimed that over 40,000 people had joined the movement online.
