Konganda Charamanna Cariappa, also known as K. C. Cariappa, is an Indian professional cricketer from Bangalore, Karnataka. He is known for his leg-spin bowling technique and unpredictable variations on the field. Cariappa was born on April 13, 1994, and he began his cricketing journey as a fast-bowling all-rounder before switching to spin at 17.

He caught the public's attention while playing in the Karnataka Premier League and for the Karnataka U-19s cricket team, and later played for the Mizoram domestic cricket team.

Cariappa made a sensational entry into the IPL in 2015 when Kolkata Knight Riders purchased him for ₹2.4 crore despite no top-level experience, where he dismissed AB de Villiers on his debut match. He made his debut in List A cricket for Karnataka in 2021, making his Ranji Trophy debut for Mizoram in 2024 with impressive performances as a bowler.

One of the best bowlers in India, K. C. Cariappa, is known for his mystery spin and unorthodox variations. He made his List A debut for Karnataka in the 2021–22 Vijay Hazare Trophy and later moved to Mizoram. While playing for the Mizoram domestic team, he broke through with notable Ranji Trophy performances from 2024 onward, including a six‑wicket innings on debut.

Cariappa has played 92 domestic matches in his long career, where he has taken a total of 157 wickets with an impressive average. His experience level is also reflected by his bowling stats, as he has taken six 4-wicket hauls, six 5-wicket hauls, and two 10-wicket hauls in his domestic career.
