UP Warriorz were expected to make a change in their playing 11, and that's what happened when skipper Meg Lanning announced that Chloe Tyron has replaced Deandra Dotting during the toss.

West Indies women's star all-rounder Deandra Dottin's snub from the UPW vs DC WPL 2026 match was expected. Dottin's last match appearance against RCB was a nightmare. She bowled only one over in the match and conceded 32 runs.

She also equalled an unwanted record of the most expensive over in WPL history with Sneh Rana, who also conceded 32 runs against the Gujarat Giants in the ongoing season itself. Chloe Tyron has been named Deandra Dottin replacement. Tyron is also an all-rounder, but unlike Dottin, she is a spin-bowling all-rounder, which will help UP to get rid of some dangerous DC batters, especially during the middle overs.

Chloe Tyron is one of the most experienced women's cricketers when it comes to the shortest format. The star cricketer has appeared in 115 WT20Is matches and has scored 1299 runs so far at an average of 19.69, including a half-century.

She has also shone with the ball in the T20I format, picking up 43 wickets with the best bowling figures of 4/15. Despite having a lot of experience and featuring in some of the best women's cricket leagues in the world, like WBBL, Women's 100, and WCPL, Tyron couldn't make it to the WPL.

Tonight, she is making her WPL debut, which is the fourth season of the league.
