The Indian Women’s Cricket Team are locking horns with the Australia Women’s Cricket Team in the semi-final of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. The match between the two teams is underway at the DY Patil Cricket Stadium, Navi Mumbai on Thursday, October 30.

Team India, who were asked to field, have made three changes to their playing 11 for the semi-final of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. Opener Pratika Rawal has been ruled out of the tournament and in her place, Shafali Verma has been added as she was recently named as her replacement.
Also, Richa Ghosh, who was struggling with niggle, is back in the side in place of Uma Chetry. But what caught the attention of many was the third change that India made. Kranti Goud was back in the side as she replaced Harleen Deol in the playing XI.

This came as big development as Harleen Deol has been decent with the bat in the tournament. She was India's designated No. 3 batter and was backed by the team management even ahead of Jemimah Rodrigues, in the whole tournament. The right-hander has played key knocks for her team in the tournament.
However, due to the team combination, she had to make way for Kranti as the pitch is suited for the pacers. Speaking at the toss, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur talked about the no. of changes in India playing 11 for Women's World Cup semifinal:
“Unfortunately Pratika is not available due to injury. Kranti Goud comes back into the side. Harleen and Uma are resting today, and Richa and Shafali return to the XI.”
India women will be under pressure entering into the clash as Australia have been dominant in the tournament. The Alyssa Healy-led side have won all their games entering into the semi-final and showed why they are arguably the best women's cricket team in the world. On the other hand, India lost three games in the league stage on the way to the semi-finals, including one against Australia.
The winner of the clash will be taking on South Africa in the final. The Proteas team thrashed England in the first semi-final and would be keen to win the summit clash as well. The match will be played on November 2 in Navi Mumbai.
