The historic one-off Test between England Women and India Women at the famous Lord's has been iconic for the Women in Blue, as they played excellent cricket in the first-ever women's Test at the historic ground. India made a strong start after being put in to bat, scoring 285 in the first innings with an 83 from one of the best women cricketers, Smriti Mandhana, and a fighting 58 from captain Harmanpreet Kaur.

England replied with 170, as India's fast bowlers, led by Kranti Gaud's outstanding 5/37, helped the visitors take a 115-run first-innings lead. India then added more runs in their second innings, putting England under pressure with a tough target on the final day, and ended up convincingly winning by 270 runs.

The match has also become a special moment for cricket, with the presence of the God of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, ICC Chairman Jay Shah, and Rajeev Shukla present at Lord's. Their visit made the occasion even bigger as they watched history being made at the Home of Cricket during the first-ever women's Test at the famous venue.

Why Jay Shah Did Not Present the Trophy to Indian Women's Team?

Ahead of the day's action, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar spent time with the Indian team on the Lord's outfield, sharing a few moments with captain Harmanpreet Kaur and opener Smriti Mandhana. As the players later gathered in a team huddle, the television cameras also showed ICC Chairman Jay Shah and BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla watching the match alongside Tendulkar from the stands.
