One of the best wicketkeeper-batsmen in the world, KL Rahul, was not fit enough to play after becoming unwell on the morning of the game, leading the team management to change the batting order and include Ishan Kishan in the playing XI as the wicketkeeper and KL Rahul replacement for the 2nd ODI.

Even without Rahul, India will enter the match with confidence after their six-wicket victory in the first ODI at Edgbaston and will hope to wrap up the three-match series.
