Why Shreyanka Patil is Not Playing Today Against Australia?

Harmanpreet made a surprising announcement during the toss by confirming Shreyanka's exclusion from the AUS-W vs IND-W 2nd T20I match. The reason behind her snub wasn't revealed, and there are no reports regarding any injuries and illness as well.

The decision was possibly taken due to a new combination, as all-rounder Amanjot Kaur has been included in the playing XI as Shreyanka Patil replacement. Shreyanka had a forgettable outing in the first match as she conceded 24 runs in two overs without picking up a wicket. This might have prompted the team management to go towards an extra pace bowling option.

Amanjot was quite effective during India's ODI World Cup victory last year and showed her worth by performing with both bat and ball. Over the years, she has evolved as a cricketer and aims to become one of the best women cricketers in the world.

Amanjot Kaur also proved ineffective

Replacing Shreyanka Patil in the 2nd T20I against Australia women, the Indian women's cricket team hoped for a better performance from Amanjot Kaur. However, the fast-bowling all-rounder disappointed with the ball. Kaur bowled two overs in the first innings, conceding 19 runs without picking a single wicket.

India women tried seven bowlers during the innings, and Amanjot Kaur ended up being the one with the worst economy rate. Australia, one of the best women's cricket teams in the world, managed to score 163 runs in the first innings after Georgia Voll's 88-run knock, which included 11 fours and one six.

It would be interesting to see if Amanjot Kaur would be able to contribute anything with the bat or not. She usually bats in the lower middle order and can chip in with useful runs. With India needing 164 runs to win the match, her contribution will be crucial.
