This statement gave a slight hope that there are some chances that Ajinkya Rahane might take a role in coaching sooner or later. From starting out as a young player in Mumbai, to playing for India, it has been an absolute honour. To the BCCI, the MCA, my teammates, my coaches, every IPL franchise, to [my wife] Radhika, my entire family, my friends, and everyone who stood by me, thank you.

Ajinkya Rahane Captaincy Record

Ajinkya Rahane had an impressive record as India's captain whenever he got the opportunity to lead the team. He captained India in 11 international matches across all formats, winning eight and losing just one. In Test cricket, Rahane never lost a match as captain, recording four wins and two draws in six games. His biggest achievement came during the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia. After India's disappointing defeat in Adelaide, he stepped in as captain, scored a brilliant century in Melbourne, and guided an injury-hit Indian team to a memorable 2-1 series victory.
