The most-awaited ICC Women's World Cup 2025 is just a few months away, and the excitement for the tournament has already begun. The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday, July 15, announced the schedule for the warm-up matches, which are set to start on September 25. Interestingly, just a month ago, the cricket governing body has announced the complete Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 schedule.

This time, India and Sri Lanka are hosting the World Cup, so the tournament will be super fun and interesting. India are the official hosts of the tournament, but Sri Lanka will host Pakistan's matches as per the BCCI's agreement with the PCB. If Pakistan makes it to the knockouts, they will keep playing in Sri Lanka.

There will be a total of eight teams participating in the tournament, which will start on September 30 and will end on November 2. But before the tournament starts, the ICC will host warm-up matches for the teams to get a feel for the environment. This way, the teams will be able to settle down at various locations and get to know their opponent.

The Women's World Cup 2025 warm up matches will start on September 25 and will end on September 28. In these three days, all the eight teams will play two matches each. However, Australia will only play one game. Moreover, India ‘A’ and Sri Lanka ‘A’ will also feature in the warm-up fixtures. While India ‘A’ is scheduled to play one match, Sri Lanka ‘A’ is set to play two. The first match will be between the 2017 Finalists, India and England, facing off, while South Africa takes on New Zealand in Bengaluru. At the same time, in Colombo, Sri Lanka will play Pakistan, while Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka A.

ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 Warm up Match Venues

The warmup matches will take place in four venues as decided by the ICC. The Women’s World Cup 2025 Warm-up Match Venues are Centre of Excellence Ground and M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru in India. Alongside these venues in Bengaluru, R. Premadasa Stadium and Colombo Cricket Club Ground in Colombo will also host the warm-up matches of the this particular event.
