The Test season is on a roll right now in world cricket. But there are three teams that are set for a brand new challenge against each other. It’s not just another bilateral series. It's a T20I tri-series between Zimbabwe, South Africa, and New Zealand, which is set to kick off on July 14. The series is set to be hosted by Zimbabwe, which means that they have a great opportunity to beat those world-class teams.

The Zimbabwe tri series will help the players from the Zimbabwe team to showcase their talent in order to get noticed by top franchise leagues like IPL, BBL, and other leagues. Of course, the favorites are going to be the Kiwis and Proteas, but you surely can’t underestimate the home team, which has players like Sikandar Raza and many more. Let’s have a look at the schedule, venue, and other details about the series.

Apart from Zimbabwe, South Africa and New Zealand will play in the upcoming tri-series. The visitors had quite a brilliant performance in the Champions Trophy 2025, qualifying for the knockouts. While it is expected that the Proteas and the Kiwis might dominate the series, it will be interesting to see how the hosts play.

Zimbabwe Tri Series Schedule

The seven matches in the tri-series will be a good exposure for all three teams. While they rarely play against each other much, this series will help them know about the opponent's strengths and weaknesses. The matches will start on July 14, in Harare, ZIM vs SA being the first match of the series. NZ vs SA will be the second game, while ZIM vs NZ will be the third match of this series.

The same cycle will continue for the second round, and the final is set to take place on July 26 in Harare. The top two teams on the points table will qualify for the final. While South Africa and New Zealand are firm favorites for the summit clash, hosts Zimbabwe cannot be counted out. They will be aiming to surprise their opponents at home ground.

Zimbabwe Tri Series Venue

All the matches are scheduled to take place in Harare. So, there won’t be much difficulty for any of the three teams to adapt to the conditions of the surface. The Harare Sports Club has produced sporting pitches and is likely to continue that trend in the upcoming series.

However, it will be advantageous for Zimbabwe as the entire series will be played at the same venue. They know the conditions better than anyone else and are likely to pick a young team here. New Zealand and South Africa have selected in order to prepare for the T20 World Cup last year.

Zimbabwe Tri Series Squads

While New Zealand and South Africa have already announced their power-packed sides, Zimbabwe are yet to announce their squad. Mitchell Santner will lead New Zealand while Rassie van der Dussen has been appointed South Africa's captain in the absence of Aiden Markram.
