Gurjapneet Singh is a tall 6'3" left-arm fast bowler from Ambala who has made a name for himself in Indian domestic cricket. After moving to Tamil Nadu for his cricketing career, he made a strong impact in the 2024–25 Ranji Trophy season, taking 13 wickets in just four matches. His performances in the Tamil Nadu Premier League earned him a big break when Chennai Super Kings bought him for ₹2.2 crore in the 2025 IPL auction, although an injury unfortunately kept him out of that season.

In the 2025–26 Ranji Trophy, Gurjapneet took a hat-trick against Nagaland in only his eighth first-class match. In the sixth over, he dismissed Sedezhalie Rupero, Hem Chetri, and Nagaland captain Rongsen Jonathan with consecutive deliveries. This made him the first Tamil Nadu bowler to achieve a Ranji Trophy hat-trick since M Mohammed in 2018 and only the seventh in the state’s history.
