He made an immediate impact in Pakistan’s tournament opener against Malaysia Under-19s in Dubai, smashing 177 not out from 148 deliveries in his debut innings. The innings rewrote the record books, becoming the highest individual score in Under-19 Asia Cup history as well as the biggest Youth ODI score by a Pakistani batter.

Minhas then continued his form in the semi-final against Bangladesh Under-19, where he led Pakistan through the chase in a rain-affected contest. After Bangladesh were dismissed for 121, he remained unbeaten on 69 from 57 balls, to seal an eight-wicket victory and send Pakistan into the final.

If this wasn't enough, he also scored a century against arch-rivals India in the final of the U19 Asia Cup in just 71 balls and added another interesting chapter to the greatest rivalry in cricket.
