BGIS 2026 Guide: Everything You Need to Know

BGIS 2026 registrations commenced on December 15, 2025. If you are an aspiring BGMI e-athlete, there is still time to get your team registered in the event. You will have to simply register with your player IDs, ensuring they meet the minimum eligibility criteria ( Level 30 and Tier: Platinum 5). Your team must have at least 4 players and one substitute to successfully register for the event. You can register from this link: click here.
BGIS 2026 Teams
BGIS 2026 is an open-for-all tournament. This time, the tournament will feature around qualified (underdogs) teams and Tier One invited teams.
- Qualified (Underdogs) teams: 1016
- Invited Teams: 64
The invited teams will be split into 4 categories (A, B, C, and D). The invited teams will compete in a separate lobby called 'BGIS Grind'. The rankings of the invited teams in BGIS Grind shall determine the round they qualify for. The qualification slots will also depend on the category of BGIS Grind lobby, invited teams get assigned. Invited teams from Category A shall have a chance to directly qualify for quarter finals, while those from group D shall only make it to round 1 at best.

BGIS 2026 Dates
BGIS 2026 will be played across 2 months from 26 January 2026 to 29 March 2026. You can check the exact timeline of each stage of BGIS in the next subheading.
BGIS 2026 Format
BGIS 2026 features both in-game qualifiers and LAN events. Following the end of registrations, the BGIS 2026 will commence with the in-game qualifiers. These will be followed by BGIS Grind, Main Stage, Wildcards, Survival Stage and LAN finals. You can check the complete BGIS 2026 Format below:
In-game Qualifiers
Date: 8 January 2026 to 14 January 2026
This round will feature all registered teams. Each team will have to play 15 in-game classic matches. Out of the 15 matches 10 best matches with the most points will be counted. The top 1016 teams in the overall leaderboards will qualify for the first round of the main event.
BGIS 2026 The Grind (Invited Stage)
Date: 17 January 2026 to 1 February 2026
The 64 invited teams in groups A, B, C and D play 24 matches in four days. You can check the BGIS 2026 Grind schedule below:

BGIS 2026 Main Event
Round 1
Date: 26 January 2026 to 1 February 2026
This round will involve 1024 teams. Of these, 1016 teams will be the qualified ones, and 8 teams will be from BGIS Grind. A total of 496 teams will move to the next round from this stage based on overall standings (group-wise).
Round 2
Date: 5 February 2026 to 8 February 2026.
This round will feature 512 teams ( 496 from the previous round and 16 invited teams from BGIS grind group C). Of these, 240 teams will make it to the next round based on overall standings.
Round 3
Date: 12 February 2026 to 15 February 2026.
256 teams will participate in this event. Of these 240 teams will come from round 2, and 16 teams will arrive from BGIS Grind group B. This round will see 112 teams advance to the next round.
Round 4
Date: 19 February 2026 to 22 February 2026.
128 teams will participate in this event. Of these, 112 teams will come from round 2, and 16 teams will arrive from BGIS Grind group A. This round will see 46 teams advance to the next round.

Quarter Finals
Date: 26 February 2026 to 1 March 2026.
The quarter finals stage will be played over 4 days, where 64 teams will compete. Of these, 56 teams will arrive from round 4, and 8 teams will come from BGIS Grind Group A. Only 24 teams will move into the semis, and 40 teams will head into the Wildcards.
Wild Cards
Date: 5 March 2026 to 8 March 2026.
32 teams will play in this stage, of which 24 will come from the quarter finals and 8 teams from round 4 ( the bottom-ranked). The matches will be played in a round robin format, where 4 groups will play 12 matches each. The top 8 teams on cumulative standings will move into the semifinals.
Semi Finals
Date: 12 March 2026 to 15 March 2026.
16 teams from the quarters and 8 wildcard teams will play double round robin matches. The 24 teams will be divided into 3 groups, where each group will play 16 matches. The top 8 teams will move into the grand finals, and the remaining 16 will move into the Survival Stage.
Survival Stage
Date: 16 March 2026 to 17 March 2026.
The 16 teams will play 12 matches in 2 days, and the top 8 will move into the grand finals.
Grand Finals
Date: 27 March 2026 to 29 March 2026.
16 teams will compete to be crowned the best BGMI team of India.
