Discovery Island Event Boosts BGIS 2026 Prize Pool

The community-driven ‘Discovery Island’ event has been on a roll. This event is contributing to increasing the final prize pool of BGIS 2026 with the help of community engagement via in-game objectives.

The Discovery Island event initially commenced on January 15, 2026, where Krafton introduced ‘engagement-specific’ accomplishments. The accomplishments are called ‘Exploration Points’.

As the community participates in this event and purchases themed items, it contributes to server-wide exploration points. The higher the in-game engagement of players, the higher the exploration points, and the higher the prize pool of BGIS 2026.

You will also get some server-wide exploration rewards once you hit 3000 points personally in the event. The event will end on March 15, 2026.

BGIS 2026 Gets the Highest Prize Pool in its History

As per the latest in-game update, BGIS 2026 Discovery Island server-wide exploration points have crossed the 20 billion mark. Krafton will increase the BGIS 2026 prize pool by 25 lakhs for every 4 billion server-wide exploration points. Hence, the current prize pool of BGIS 2026 stands at 3.5 crore INR.

With more than 2 weeks left in the completion of the event, it may well cross the final 25 billion discovery points landmark. If it happens, BGIS 2026 could become the tournament with the highest recorded prize pool in Indian mobile Esports history.

BGIS 2025 initially started with a base prize pool of 2 Crore INR. BGIS is one of the biggest and most-watched esports tournaments in the country, and its prize pool has been gradually increasing over the years.

It initially started with a prize pool of 1 Crore in 2021. The last edition of it in 2025 had a prize pool of 3.2 crore. It is even higher than the televised BGMI event, BGMS and other official LAN events like BMPS, BMSD and BMIC.
