Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown (BMSD) is the third official Krafton India tournament in the annual BGMI esports calendar. This event pits the best BGMI teams of India against each other for a spot in two major international tournaments: BMIC and PMGC. What is BGMI BMSD Tournament?

Krafton India Esports has hosted BMSD as an official event since 2022. This also acts as a qualifying event for international tournaments. While the Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown winners get a direct slot in PMGC, the top 8 finalists get a slot in BMIC (the only international BGMI event).

BMSD is also one of the most-watched BGMI tournaments in India and has seen huge crowds in both LAN events. Objectively, it is the most important tournament since no other event grants a direct slot to the GC for Indian teams.

All BGMI BMSD Winners List

Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown has seen two editions so far. The inaugural edition commenced in 2022, and the second edition only happened after a 3-year hiatus in 2025. The next edition of BMSD is scheduled for September 2026 after the PUBG Mobile World Cup ends in August.

BGMI BMSD 2025 Winners (Team Orangutan)

Starting the BMSD winners list are the reigning champions, Team Orangutan. Aaru and team finally broke the curse of finishing second for Team Orangutan in official tournaments during BMSD 2025. Heading into this event, Orangutan had not secured any official trophy in 1500 days.

Team Orangutan entered BMSD 2025 as one of the 24 upper-bracket teams. The team of Aaru, AkOp, Wizgod and Attanki annihilated the lobby to finish 1st in the upper bracket with 155 points to enter the Semis. In the Semifinals, Orangutan finished 4th with 117 points.

At the finals held at Tesseract Arena in Hyderabad, Orangutan finished at the top with 147 points, with 4 chicken dinners and the second-highest finish count at 55. They went on to represent India at the PMGC 2025 Gauntlet Stage.

BGMI BMSD 2022 Winners (7Sea Esports)

7Sea Esports were the first BGMI BMSD winners. The team of Sarang, Spraygod, Prince, Aladin and Madman dominated the inaugural edition of the event. The team had the highest elimination count in the grand finals and eventually finished at the top of the BGMI BMSD winners list with 91 points. Orangutan finished second with 83 points.

This event, worth 1.5 crore INR, was held in Delhi-NCR just a few days before BGMI was banned for the second time in July 2022. 7Sea Esports got 2 chicken dinners in the finals and dominated their way into PMWI 2022.

Battlegrounds Mobile Showdown Series brings the best Indian lobby to action. Teams that finish in the top 8 of the final standings get a chance to play in international tournaments.
