Bayern Munich & Allianz Arena Returns in FC 26

Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena has been one of the most iconic stadiums in the world. EA FC boasts having the rights to more than 120 football stadiums in the world, but despite this, they lost their rights to the Allianz Arena due to Bayern's partnership with Konami Digital Entertainment, which saw them getting featured in eFootball from 2019 onwards. Apart from the Allianz Arena, EA FC has lost major stadium licenses for Inter and AC Milan in FC 25, with other major stadiums like Camp Nou also missing for almost 10 years. But now it looks like Bayern Munich & Allianz Arena might finally be returning to EA FC 26.

Bayern Munich Returns in FC 26

Bayern Munich's return to FC 26 came to life when Konami recently announced that it will lose its license for Bayern Munich's club name and merchandise, and Bayern Munich will be removed from eFootball. This means they can't use the stadium in-game anymore since the Allianz Arena is Bayern's home. The new update of eFootball will be released on 26th June, meaning Bayern now remains unlicensed. One of the major reasons for Bayern to end the partnership might be due to the large sum EA FC is offering to the club.

EA FC has also upgraded its games, making them more realistic every year in the face of several competitions. This will be a huge achievement in the calendar year for EA FC once announced officially. In a post by @EAFCassist on X, an account known for footy leaks, the same news was confirmed. The post read, "ALLIANZ ARENA BACK IN FC 26, PES lost rights, Bayern signed NEW partnership with EA, HUGE", signaling the end of the partnership between Bayern and Konami and the start of a new one between EAFC and Bayern.

Allianz Arena Returns in FC 26

Since Konami is losing the rights to Bayern, it means they will lose the Allianz Arena as well. The return of Bayern Munich on EA FC 26 will mark its comeback after 6 years since it left the game. The new deal will give EA FC the rights to their badge, club jerseys, and Allianz. In the absence of the iconic stadium in EAFC, the developers have had to accommodate the team in Sanderson Park with a capacity of 39k. However, the return of the Allianz Arena will see the club return to its authentic stadium with a capacity of 79k.

Bayern's removal from eFootball came as a shock to their users. Many expressed frustrations over the news on social media platforms like X and Reddit. This means the new updates will see the players represented by standard badges and jerseys. The players won't be able to play in the Allianz Arena anymore, but the names of the footballers will remain untouched.
