FC 26 Server Maintenance 9 September: When Will the Game Open

In a surprising turn of events, EA FC developers are pushing for one last maintenance for their flagship title. And this is likely to be the concluding maintenance phase before we get our hands on FC 27, the latest flagship football sim. One of EA's official handles on X, @EASFCDirect, has recently declared FC 26 Server Maintenance 9 September. EA developers use this account to notify the community regarding such operational activities.

The interesting part is, FC 26 isn't the only one; FC 25 servers will also go offline. The officials have clearly mentioned that the maintenance will begin today at 08:00 UTC, today. Moreover, the officials also notified that this phase will last only for an hour. In case you open the game during this time, you'll be greeted with an EA FC server down message.

FC 26 Server Down: How Long Will the Current FC 26 Maintenance Continue (Sept 9)

Unlike the 12th August server maintenance, the FC 26 Server Maintenance 9 September will be relatively short. The officials have clearly mentioned that the operations will start on September 9, 2026, at 8 AM UTC. It's a standard time for EA to start operations during this hour. Apart from the latest FC 26, the predecessor title, FC 25, will also be down for the mentioned time span. And there are no platform restrictions for it. It means that all PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 players will be impacted during this phase.

As per the standard norms, EA devs will disable match creation 30 minutes before the maintenance phase begins. In addition to that, everyone might get disconnected or can't access online EA services, like Ultimate Team mode. The official FC 26 Server Status will be inactive from 08:00 AM UTC to 09:00 AM UTC. What's Coming Today After the FC 26 Server Maintenance 9 September?

Unlike the previous phase, the FC 26 Server maintenance on 9th Septemebr will bring no major updates. And interestingly, EA devs haven't mentioned anything specific. Considering FC 27 will go live globally in a few weeks, there certainly will not be any promo. This particular phase, however, is likely to be routine maintenance to keep the servers up to date. It's quite evident that the devs won't be stopping the FC 26 servers anytime soon.

In a recent panel discussion regarding FC 27 Pitch Notes, the devs have clearly mentioned that there won't be any significant changes for the first couple of months. Basically, these maintenance phases won't be this frequent in the upcoming iteration.

How Long Will the FC 26 Server Status Down Continue Today?

As we've mentioned earlier, the FC 26 Server Down will be for only an hour. And gamers can't enter matchmaking (Ultimate Team Mode) 30 minutes before this phase. And as soon as this starts, both FC 25 and 26 gamers will be greeted with the standard server down message.
