Nebula Esports Becomes BGMI Masters Series Season 5 Champion in a Fairy-Tale Ending

BGMI Master Series Season 5 came to a thrilling end at the Nodwin Gaming Arena on September 6. Nebula Esports were crowned the BGMS 2026 winners. Despite having a powerplay zone and Smash rule, the finals went down to the wire till the last match, and Nebula's endurance ensured they finally won their first trophy. Nebula edged past the Smash rule score in match 17 but had to wait till the last match of the competition to confirm their title.

Nebula Esports Crowned New BGMI Master Series Champions

Nebula Esports became the BGMS 2026 winners on September 6 at the Nodwin Gaming Arena. Nebula's IGL, Aadi, finally had his moment in his fifth appearance at the biggest unofficial BGMI tournament in India. The team, including Aadi, KnowMe, Phoenix, Kratos and Arjun, dominated the BGMI Master Series Grand Season 5 Grand Finals, scoring 210 points in 18 matches.

The BGMI Master Series Season 5 winners, Nebula, started the finals on a high, getting 107 and 84 points in the first two days. On the third and final day, the team favoured late rotations and holding gameplay and got 26 points, but the first two days of dominance proved to be too big a gulf to fill for the rest of the lobby.

The BGMS 2026 winners won a prize of ₹ 40 lakh by finishing in the top position. The team's assault, KnowMe, got the title of Finals MVP after getting 37 finishes. Aadi described Nebula's run in BGMI Master Series Season 5 as a 'complete circle' as the team won a trophy at the very place where it was formed in 2025.

BGMI Master Series Season 5 Winners List

The other teams that finished on the podium in BGMI Masters Series Season 5 were Gladiator Esports and Orangutan. In the absence of their IGL, Destro, Gladiator Esports stepped up and finished as runners-up with 189 points.

India's most consistent BGMI team, Orangutan, finished third with 187 points. Both teams got two wins on the final day, but the gulf was a bit too much to fill. For the individual awards, Genesis Hunterz won the title of the most wicked player in BGMS 2026 due to his highest finish count of 249 across all stages.

When is the Next BGMI Tournament?

The fall season of BGMI Esports is just getting started. BGMI Master Series Season 5 will be followed by one of the most important official tournaments, BMSD 2026. Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown 2026 will be live from September 22 with 48 invited teams. The winners of BMSD 2026 will represent India at PMGC 2026.
