And as a result, there are no confirmations on the dates, either. According to the data miners, the event will arrive on May 27, 2026, on Wednesday, along with the FC 26 Title Update 1.6.0. Meanwhile, many have also predicted that the mode will arrive post FC Mobile World's Game Update. We'll make sure to update the dates once we receive any official notice from EA Sports.

Talking about the World Cup mode, there's a high chance that the FC 26 Neymar Return could happen in this update. The primary attraction of this update is the potential arrival of over 50+ naional clubs with a full 26-man squad. Like we've mentioned, over 50 national teams are likely to be a part of the potential FC 26 World Cup Mode. Apart from the non-participating teams, all 48 teams will receive a 26-man squad.

Original Faces

Top-rated stars like Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, Heung-Min Son, and several others are likely to receive a legacy scan update. On the other hand, Neymar is also likely to return in the Ultimate Team mode, following his inclusion in the Brazilian national team.

Brand-New Stadiums and World Cup Exclusive Ball

The licensed venues for the World Cup 2026, like BMO Field, Hard Rock, Lincoln Financial, MetLife, and several other stadiums, might be the new addition to this.

The FC Mobile database has already leaked new match balls, which might be a new addition in the handheld version. Therefore, it's quite evident to say that EA officials might add it to the console edition, too.
