Konami's recent announcement is a bombshell for the eFootball community, but it might be good news for the FC 26 community. Along with FC 25, eFootball has seen quick prominence to the top thanks to its engaging experience and the distinct features of the game.

Following its move with Konami in 2022, Liga MX, a top Mexican division, became exclusive to eFootball. It is the reason why the EA FC community does not get to enjoy Mexican teams and players due to Konami's exclusive contract. However, in recent times, we have been hearing a lot about how the league can make a comeback into the world's favorite football game, i.e, EA FC.

With recent confirmation coming in from the Japanese game developer, the eFootball community is in for a huge blow, while FC 26 might be handed a new league boost.

Mexican Clubs Removed in Next eFootball Update

Konami gave the new eFootball update to the community, and even though it is not a massive patch in comparison to the others, there is a big piece of news that is a big blow for the community. While there have been rumors of a Liga MX return to the EA FC series, the confirmation from the Japanese game developer highlighted that a big change is about to take place in both franchises.

The patch also fixes a lot of bugs in the player control options and server communication errors, along with minor fixes. But the Liga MX update is the big highlight. At the beginning. Club America, CD Guadalajara, Pumas, and Tigres UANL were the clubs that were still in the game, with the rest set to leave eFootball. Eventually, we saw the total end of Liga MX in eFootball.
