5 min
eFootball Season Update v5.0.0
  • eFootball v5.0.0 update arrives mid-August with major overhauls, new licensing deals, and team roster changes.
  • Key assets like eFootball Coins, Points, GP, and badges will carry over, but base teams, avatars, and some players may change.

Konami announced a new major update for eFootball at their 30th Anniversary event. The event held on Sunday saw a new presentation and announcement for a major overhaul and licensing update for eFootball coming mid-August. This new update will hold several changes in the game, which we will describe in the article below.

The new Licensing agreement can see a lot of changes in stadiums, avatars, and many more due to several expirations of contracts and new updated deals. Amid the update, the promotion and relegation of football teams and national leagues will be carried out with a newly updated roster set to be released in the new version.

In-Game Asset and Other Data Carryover

If you are worried about losing your eFootball coins and points, there is no need. The majority of the main data won't be replaced with the core of the grading system, and points will remain the same in your database. Things like coins, Points, training programs, and various badges will be carried out into the next update. However, you have to keep in mind that there will be some things that might see changes in the new version. “The base team” and ”Avatars" may change depending on the update. Therefore, you might see a new version of some of the players in the game.

A few of the new versions that you could see based on the update are:

  • The Courtesy Rating setting to an “A” during the updating period.
  • The Balance Sheet, although it will remain the same as before, some of the existing names could be removed depending on the licensing deals.
  • No match History after the Update.

These were some of the things that are expected to change. Here is the Full List of things that will be carried over to the new updated version:

Players/Managers

The new eFootball Season Update v5.0.0 will have some of the players and Managers removed due to the expiration of Licenses. These Players and Managers will no longer be able to be used in the matches. The updated list of removed people will come once the new version is Live. Be sure to follow our articles for the latest news on the content. Some of the Players will also receive new photos and looks after the update. It is important to note that these changes will only apply to Standard players that you have acquired before the new update. Also, the recent eFootball at their 30th Anniversary event allows players to earn exclusive rewards.

My League

The eFootball Season Update v5.0.0 will see all the progress and points earned in My League reset. My League is a special mode where you can play AI to collect points and win prizes. The more you progress in the game, the more points you earn to unlock rewards. Since the new update will reset the points, the best idea is to spend them on new rewards before the new update takes place. You will have time till mid-August to spend your points on rewards. As mentioned earlier, your earned rewards will carry into the next update; thus, your assets will remain safe.

Name Changes for Training Programs

The new version will see a name change for the training programs. While your progress in the programs will carried over in the new update, they will have new names. There are currently three programs in the game, the new names will be as follows:

  • The “training Program” will be called “Exp. Token”.
  • The “Skill Training Program” will be called “Skill Token".
  • The “Position Training Program” will be called “ Position Token”.

Invalidation of Career Objectives

Career Objectives are a part of the Long progression system, where you can track your progress outside the weekly events. Completing these objectives can give you various rewards, including coins, chance deals, and various programs. According to the latest release, the existing career objectives will not work after the new update. You can still complete these objectives before the start of maintenance to claim rewards, but once the updates are started, the value will be void for these objectives.

It is also important to note that the unclaimed rewards will go to waste if you do not open them before the maintenance period. Even though the “no expiration” words might appear across the rewards, they will end before the scheduled updates. So make sure that your rewards are claimed before the end of July.
