eFootball v5.4.0 Update Leaked Over the Internet

The eFootball v5.4.0 update has been leaked by the data miners ahead of the official release. The new version update is going to arrive this Thursday, April 9, 2026, following the end of the scheduled weekly maintenance.

The new version of eFootball will bring many changes. From new packs, cards, events, and campaigns to returning fan-favourite modes. Check the next section to find out in detail what's coming after this major update.

eFootball v5.4.0 Update To Bring New Features

As per the leakers, three major changes are going to be part of the eFootball v5.4.0 update. This includes the return of the popular Master League, the addition of new rare playstyles and the inclusion of new officially licensed leagues.

eFootball Master League

From what can be found in the leaks, the new eFootball Master League will arrive as a standalone event. The new eFootball Master League will not be available in offline mode, which means it will arrive as an online PvP event, called Master League Event. The leaks also pointed out that no old cut Scenes from the PES era have been added to the database.

The eFootball Master League Event will not follow the real-life calendar of the original UCL or UEL. Limited features will be available in terms of managing the club.

The main goal of this event will be to attract the club's supporters, who will give rewards. The event will have predefined match scenarios and random injuries. You will be able to play 2 types of matches:

• Synergy match: Results will depend on the overall team condition.
• Manual Match: This will be a live PvP game with more fans in attendance.

eFootball New Playstyles

The data miners have found five new playstyles that are going to come in this update. The names and descriptions of the new playstyles are not yet known.

New League Rights

The version 5.4.0 update will bring a new licensed league in eFootball. The Malaysian league will now feature in the game, so you will receive licensed player cards from the clubs involved in the league.
