New Dream11 Launch Date, Prize Pool & How to Create Fantasy Team

Dream11 is set for another major transformation as the popular sports platform looks to build a stronger connection with fans. The announcement has sparked curiosity among cricket followers and fantasy sports enthusiasts, who are eager to know what the revamped platform will offer. Following major changes to its business model over the past year, the company is now preparing for its next big move.

With a new version expected to arrive by the end of December 2026, users are waiting to see what changes it will bring. Here is everything you need to know about Dream11's upcoming update, its expected launch date and the features users can expect.

Dream11 Launch Date: When Will the Revamped Platform Arrive?

Dream11 co-founder and CEO Harsh Jain has hinted that a brand-new version of the platform could arrive by the end of December 2026. In a post on X on November 5, Jain described the upcoming product as something built by sports fans, for sports fans, and asked users to stay tuned.

However, he has not revealed an exact launch date or shared details about its features.

The announcement comes after Dream11 went through major changes following India's restrictions on real-money online gaming in 2025. The platform moved away from paid fantasy contests and began exploring new ways to connect sports fans. The upcoming revamp is expected to be another step in this direction, although the company has not yet revealed what the new platform will offer.

Dream11 Prize Pool & How to Create Dream11 Team

One of the biggest questions is about the Dream11 prize pool. However, users should not expect cash rewards to return just yet. In August 2026, Dream11 announced that it had discontinued all prizes, including those offered in free contests, as it shifted its focus towards becoming a global sports engagement platform. Its new focus includes sports content, live streaming, scores, statistics, commentary, communities and social contests. The company has not announced any new prize pool for the December update.

As for how to create Dream11 team, the traditional fantasy format involved selecting a match, picking players within the available credit limit, and assigning a captain and vice-captain. However, the company has not confirmed whether this format will return or how team creation will work on the revamped platform. Users will have to wait for an official announcement to know whether they can enjoy the familiar fantasy experience again.
