Goalkeepers are mostly a long-term bet in Fantasy Premier League. Once you have selected a keeper, in most cases you stick with them for a few weeks. In GW7 of the Fantasy Premier League season, here are the 5 goalkeepers you should target.
5. Alphonse Areola
Ipswich Town have been alright in their return to the Premier League but goalscoring is something that they have had trouble with, finding the back of the net only 5 times so far. That could be great news for managers looking to bring in Alphonse Areola in Fantasy Premier League this weekend. The Frenchman has had a decent start to the campaign but only has a solitary clean sheet so far. Another one looks likely this weekend.
4. Mark Flekken
Mark Flekken is a hit among Fantasy Premier League managers. Not only does Brentford not concede all that many goals, but the Dutch keeper is an extremely good shot-stopper. He has made 28 saves already this season and while a clean sheet has alluded to him, it feels like just a matter of time. In fact, it could very well come that weekend, when Brentford takes on a poor Wolves side, who sit in last place.

3. Alisson Becker
Crystal Palace have been extremely poor this season by their own standards and have just found the net 5 times in 6 games. But they still pose a palpable threat and that is why Alisson isn’t higher than second on this list. The Brazilian has only conceded 2 goals in the league this season along with 3 clean sheets, as Liverpool have some unexpectedly found their way to the top of the Premier League standings. A clean sheet this week will be expected.

2. Ederson
Manchester City have had a good start to the season, despite all their injuries. While this has mostly been because of Erling Haaland obliterating every goalscoring record in his way, their defence too is pretty solid. Ederson is an important factor in all of this. In addition to his shot-stopping, he has also provided an assist this season. Fulham, City’s opponents this weekend are good, but Ederson will still be expected to keep a clean sheet.
1. David Raya
David Raya is the most reliable goalkeeper pick in Fantasy Premier League so far this season and it wouldn’t be wrong to say he has been the best in the world of late in his position. He has made 23 saves so far and has conceded just 5 goals to go with his 3 clean sheets. Arsenal’s opponents this weekend are Southampton, who have scored just 3 times in 6 games, the lowest in the league. Good points are expected from Raya again.
