Joao Felix, one of the modern-day superstars of Portugal, plays for the Serie A club, AC Milan after securing a six-month loan move from Chelsea in the 2025 January transfer window. In 2022-23: Joao Felix began the season on a flying note after providing a hat-trick of assists. Despite showing glimpses of returning to his best version, the relationship between him and Atletico Madrid had fallen out. In the January transfer window of 2023, he was sent to Chelsea on a loan deal. His journey in the Premier League got off to a dreadful start as he was sent off on his debut in a 1-2 loss against Fulham.
In 2023-24: Felix could not win the favour of the Atletico management after returning to the Spanish capital. Amidst multiple offers from Saudi Arabian clubs, he was signed by Barcelona. He scored his first goal for the Catalan side in a 5-0 win over Real Betis in La Liga. Felix took revenge on his parent club Atletico by scoring against them in two games of the La Liga season. Joao Felix kickstarted his international career with the under-18 team of Portugal against Norway and scored a brace on his debut. In 2019, he received an international call-up from the Portugal Senior team and made his debut in the UEFA Nations League Finals on home turf against Switzerland. Alongside the great Cristiano Ronaldo, he also dazzled in the final of the tournament and won the title.
