AFCON 2025 Rulebook Revealed! Which Items are Banned at Morocco Stadiums?

As anticipation for AFCON 2025 builds, fans from across Africa are expected to arrive in large numbers in Morocco. AFCON 2025 will feature 24 countries from Africa, including reigning African champions the Ivory Coast and hosts Morocco, who are one of the favourites to win the tournament. Considering the strict CAF AFCON regulations and the guidelines of AFCON rules, it is crucial to understand the AFCON banned items to ensure a smooth and seamless experience in the continental tournament. AFCON has also made it clear that the guidelines will be same for all the AFCON 2025 stadiums and that AFCON stadiums in Morocco will follow the same rules and regulations.

List of AFCON Banned Items in Morocco

Under AFCON rules, fans are prohibited from bringing the following Weapons and Dangerous Objects to Morocco stadiums:

• Firearms, ammunition, knives, scissors, sharp objects
• Explosives, fireworks, flares, smoke bombs
• Tasers, pepper spray, chemical sprays
• Any object deemed capable of causing injury

According to CAF AFCON rules, CAF maintains a zero-tolerance policy on political messaging inside stadiums,

• Political banners, flags, or symbols
• Racist, xenophobic, or discriminatory signage

• Messages inciting hatred, violence, or unrest

  Although alcohol can be legally purchased, fans can't carry it inside AFCON 2025 Stadiums.

Drones & Outside Food Items Also Prohibited

To protect broadcasting rights, AFCON rules prohibit:

• Professional cameras with detachable lenses

• Video recording equipment

• Drones (inside or near stadiums)

• Audio recording gear

  CAF AFCON regulations prohibit

• Outside food and beverages

• Glass bottles, cans, thermos flasks

• Hard plastic containers

  Apart from that, the following items are also restricted inside AFCON Stadiums in Morocco

• Large backpacks, suitcases, and travel bags

• Bags exceeding permitted size limits

• Umbrellas with pointed tips

• Selfie sticks, laser pointers
