Cristiano Ronaldo could most likely be on his way to India after his Al Nassr have been drawn alongside FC Goa in the AFC Champions League Two group stage. FC Goa beat Al-Seeb in the preliminary round to qualify for the League Two group stage. This has raised excitement over the football icon finally coming to India. Group D includes Al-Nassr, FC Goa, Al Zawraa and FC Istikol.

The competition will commence on September 16, with the group stages coming to an end on December 24, 2025. The buzz is not only around the Portuguese football phenomenon Ronaldo, but the likes of Brozovic, Joao Felix, Inigo Martinez, and Sadio Mane have added to the excitement.

As things stand, there is every chance that Ronaldo could very well come to India. According to reports, Cristiano Ronaldo has a clause in his contract with Al-Nassr which states that the Portuguese international can choose not to participate in the away games. The reason for this clause comes down to managing his travel, game time; even though he is one of the greatest to play the sport, we also know that he is getting old.

If this clause is real, this will be miserable news for all the football fans in India and especially in Goa.
