The 20-year-old Desire Doue played for France in their 2-0 win over Ukraine in their recent 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier match on Thursday (5th September 2025). However, after having an inefficient first half, the French winger was taken off by Didier Deschamps at halftime and couldn't come out for the second half. It's since been reported that Doue actually picked up a calf injury during the half, which caused him to be taken off.

Doue will now reportedly be forced to leave the France national team camp ahead of their next qualifier game. The PSG winger will be undergoing necessary examinations, which will reveal the severity of his injury and how long the 20-year-old will be unavailable for. However, as he's being forced to leave the camp earlier than intended, Doue will not be available for France's next World Cup qualifier clash against Iceland on Tuesday (9th September 2025).
