The most prestigious international tournament of the CONCACAF association, the CONCACAF Gold Cup, is set to be held in Canada and the USA for its 18th edition from June 14 to July 6, 2025. The tournament will continue with its format of being played between 16 national teams, which will be separated into four different groups. A rather unique aspect of the 2025 edition is that the Saudi Arabia national team have been included as a guest participant, marking the first time that they will be playing in the competition. The top eight teams from the four groups will move into the knockout stages, after which the best team will need to win every single knockout game to clinch the gold.

The four groups for the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2025 edition have already been finalized by the organizers. Sixteen different national teams are in contention for the competition, with four teams creating a single group as well. The defending champions, Mexico, have been placed in group A and will be playing the first game of the tournament against the Dominican Republic national team. The Mexican side will definitely be among the favorites to reclaim the title, but face stiff competition from the likes of the US Men's National Team as well as Costa Rica for the gold.

The quarterfinals will pit the group winners of the four different groups against the runners-up of the groups. All the knockout stages matches will be one-legged affairs, which will be forced into extra-time or penalty shootouts if the matches cannot be decided within the first 90 minutes.

Costa Rica, who have won the competition on three occasions in the past, are going to be a contender for the competition. Panama might have failed to win the competition even once in the past, but after finishing as the runners-up in the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup, they remain the dark horses for this edition as well.
