The Vodafone Idea FIFA World Cup season pass offers access to the tournament on ZEE5 through Vi Movies & TV at Rs. 798. The pass brings together sports streaming access, additional data, and a ZEE5 subscription in a single bundled offering for 30 days.

FIFA World Cup Viewership Crucial In India

The 2022 edition of the tournament which saw Lionel Messi and Argentina being crowned champions in Qatar, accumulated 5.6 billion viewers in combined linear TV and streaming viewership. While success on field translated to massive interest in the sport, world football's apex body FIFA struggled to strike a media rights deal for several months.

FIFA's asking price was considered too high by Indian broadcasters, but managed to find an agreement with Zee Entertainment Enterprises. The deal will also see Zee becoming the home of FIFA World Cup for the next few years alongside other FIFA tournaments.

Fans can also access brand new sports channels from Zee Entertainment named Unite8 Sports 1 and Unite8 Sports 2 for the live broadcast.
