The Cameroonian Football Federation, or FECAFOOT, announced a few days ago that head coach Marc Brys has tendered his resignation, citing professional reasons and dissatisfaction over the non-payment of salaries for over sixty days. The former FC Eindhoven gaffer then went on to call for a proper investigation into this matter, which tried to malign his image and the Federation.

In a letter addressed to the Ministry of Sports in the Republic of Cameroon, head coach Marc Brys denied the authenticity of the letter, which has been circulating on social media for the last couple of hours. He reinstated his commitment to render his service to the Cameroon national football team and lead the team to great heights. He also demanded a fair investigation into this process to punish the perpetrators who planned to malign and destabilise the proper functioning of the team.

Marc Brys letter read, “I wish to formally deny the authenticity of this document, which appears to be the result of a piracy of my messaging system. This act, carried out with malicious intent, aims to destabilise the proper functioning of the national football team of Cameroon. Indeed, it is with great surprise that I discovered this fraudulent document being circulated, which not only compromises my integrity but also that of the entire technical staff under my responsibility."

"This situation, which I consider unacceptable, requires an urgent and thorough investigation to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice. Furthermore, I reaffirm my full commitment to my role as head coach of the Indomitable Lions and my determination to lead this team with professionalism and dedication, in collaboration with the competent authorities, including your esteemed ministry. In light of the above, I kindly request that you take all necessary measures to put an end to this misinformation campaign, restore the truth, and ensure the protection of my reputation and that of the Cameroon national team,” the Cameroon head coach added.
