"He's a young boy, getting crazy from social media": Punjab FC coach Panagiotis Dilmperis Highlights Media Pressure on MD Suhail

Summary
Indian Super League (ISL) side Punjab FC and Panagiotis Dilmperis will be disappointed following their 1-1 draw against NorthEast United in matchweek 3. The Greek tactician recently opened up about the pressures endured by the younger members of the squad, such as forward MD Suhail. Dilmperis pointed out that the pressure from the journalists and media has really had an adverse effect and added more pressure to perform for Suhail.
"Come on, he's a young boy, he's getting crazy from the social media, from journalists, he cannot control it. And now it's a tough time because everybody knows him, the opponents know him. In Jamshedpur, for example, there was a player 100% man to man, even he was the right back on him. We switched sides, and it was exactly the same. So first of all, let's hope that he will be healthy, and second, let's support him on his mindset. Be humble, keep on working the way he's working, and I'm sure that he has a great future." Dilmperis said.
The Shers went behind 1-0 almost 15 minutes into the second half, courtesy of a goal from Parthib Gogoi to put the Highlanders ahead. However, the response was quick from Dilmperis and his men as Nsungusi Effiong levelled things up in the 63rd minute, which earned the home side a much-needed point early on in the season.
Field Conditions Key Factor For Injuries and Poor Performance
The Greek coach also spoke about the perilous state of the home ground at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. While he refrained from taking the ground conditions as a reason for losing valuable points, he did state that NorthEast United did take advantage of the situation before Punjab.
"Northeast that goes and has fights and needs time for not good receives. For example, Danny could receive the ball because the ball was bouncing. The first team that took the advantage because of the field was Northeast. For us, it's not an advantage but at the same time it would never be an excuse. I would never come here and say that the field is not good. If the field is not good, we have to find a way to do something else." Dilmperis added.
