Chelsea came into this semi-final in crisis, seven defeats in eight games, a manager sacked four days earlier, and a squad that had visibly lost its collective belief. Yet Wembley has a habit of producing different versions of teams, and from the very first whistle under interim boss Calum MacFarlane, there was a purpose and urgency to the Blues' performance that had been entirely absent at Brighton just days before. Leeds United, unbeaten against Chelsea in the Premier League this season, pressed with confidence, and Aaronson's early one-on-one chance gave Farke's side genuine belief.
Fernandez settled the contest in the 23rd minute, arriving at the back post to meet Neto's perfectly timed cross with a bullet header that left Perri with absolutely no chance. Chelsea controlled possession throughout but were never entirely comfortable, Sanchez producing an outstanding late save from Stach and Leeds hitting the woodwork through Joao Pedro before the roles were reversed. Calvert-Lewin's hair-pull on Cucurella, controversially unpunished by VAR, added a bitter footnote to Leeds' exit.
Chelsea held firm with the determination of a squad with something to prove, and a return to Wembley awaits, this time against Manchester City in what promises to be one of the most anticipated FA Cup finals in recent memory. Here are Sportsdunia's Chelsea vs Leeds player ratings.

Chelsea Player Ratings vs Leeds
Here are the Chelsea player ratings vs Leeds.
Goalkeeper
Robert Sánchez - 7.5: What stood out to us was his shot-stopping today. He made a couple of absolutely crucial saves, especially one in the first half to deny Brenden Aaronson and another from a Dominic Calvert-Lewin header. His distribution felt a bit shaky at times, with only a 58% pass accuracy, which is something to watch. But when called upon for the primary job, he delivered. He commanded his area well enough under pressure and his saves were the reason Chelsea kept a clean sheet in this tense FA Cup semi-final.
Defenders
Marc Cucurella - 6.5: A pretty standard performance from Cucurella. He was tidy on the ball, completing 90% of his passes and trying to support the attack. Got caught offside once, which halted a promising move. From our perspective, he was defensively sound for the most part but did get beaten on one occasion. It was an average, unspectacular game where he did his job without any major fireworks or glaring mistakes. Solid but quiet.
Tosin Adarabioyo - 7.5: A rock. We noticed he was an absolute giant in the air, winning a massive 7 of his 8 aerial duels, completely dominating his battles. He was constantly in the right place at the right time, racking up a staggering 11 clearances. This felt like a commanding performance that showed exactly why the club brought him in. His presence was immense, and he snuffed out danger repeatedly. A very impressive display at the back.
Trevoh Chalobah - 6.5: A much quieter game compared to his central defensive partner. He was solid enough, winning the one tackle he went for and making some important clearances and interceptions. We did notice he lost more aerial duels than he won, which was a slight concern. But he didn't make any glaring errors and did his job without much fuss. A steady, if unremarkable, performance.
Malo Gusto - 7.0: A really busy and effective performance from the right-back. He showed great defensive desire, getting stuck in with four tackles. He was also a willing runner going forward, trying to contribute to the attack. His energy down the right flank was a key outlet for Chelsea throughout the match. A very active and positive contribution to the win.

Midfielders
Enzo Fernández - 8.5: Unquestionably the man of the match. He scored the decisive goal with a perfectly timed run and a fantastic header. But his performance was so much more than just the goal. He created three chances, drew four fouls, and was the heartbeat of the team, constantly driving them forward from midfield. What stood out to us was his vision and composure in a chaotic game. A true captain's performance and our highest-rated player on the pitch.
Moisés Caicedo - 7.0: The engine room. From our perspective, he did all the dirty work that allowed others to shine. He was tenacious, breaking up play with crucial tackles and interceptions. Yes, he picked up a yellow card for his troubles, but his relentless energy was vital in stopping Leeds United from building any real momentum through the middle. A solid and typically reliable performance.
Roméo Lavia - 6.0: He looked a little off the pace today, which was disappointing. He didn't seem to impose himself on the game and struggled with the sheer intensity of a cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium. He gave the ball away a few too many times and was eventually substituted after 66 minutes. It felt like a learning experience for the young midfielder.
Forwards
Pedro Neto - 7.5: Provided the moment of magic for the winning goal. It was a pinpoint cross right onto Fernández's head. Beyond that crucial assist, he was a constant livewire, always looking to take on his man. His work rate was also phenomenal, as shown by his 11 ball recoveries. A very positive and impactful display from the winger.
Alejandro Garnacho - 6.0: A frustrating evening for the young attacker. He got into some dangerous positions but his final product just wasn't there. He had a couple of shots blocked and was dispossessed four times, which killed momentum. He worked hard defensively, which we appreciate, but he just couldn't make the impact he would have wanted in the final third.
João Pedro - 6.5: A classic 'what if' game for the striker. He was so unlucky to see his sharp shot cannon back off the post in the first half. He showed good link-up play throughout the match and was a nuisance for the defenders. However, he also missed a big chance and needs to be more clinical. The movement is there, the finishing just needs to follow.

Substitutes
Andrey Santos (on for Lavia, 66') - N/A: Came on to add some fresh legs and steel to the midfield. He committed a couple of fouls but wasn't on long enough to receive a fair rating.
Cole Palmer (on for Garnacho, 71') - N/A: Picked up a yellow card almost immediately after coming on. Didn't have enough time to really influence the game in an attacking sense.
Manager
C. McFarlane - 7.0: He set his team up to win a tight cup tie, and they did just that. The game plan to get an early goal and then manage the game worked perfectly. His substitutions were logical and aimed at seeing out the 1-0 lead. A professional and successful day at the office to guide his team to a cup final.

Goalkeeper
Lucas Perri - 6.0: In truth, he couldn't do much about the goal; it was a well-placed header from close range. What was surprising is that he only had to make one save throughout the entire match. His distribution was a bit of a worry, as he struggled to find his targets with long balls. An otherwise quiet day where he was beaten by one moment of quality.
Defenders
Jaka Bijol - 6.5: Looked very solid during his 45 minutes on the pitch. He won all of his duels and was impressively tidy in possession, completing 90% of his passes. It was a surprise to see him substituted at half-time, as he wasn't doing anything wrong. It must have been a tactical switch from the manager.
James Justin - 6.0: Much like his defensive colleague, he had a fairly quiet first half before being taken off. He was neat on the ball but didn't offer a great deal going forward or defensively. An unremarkable 45-minute display in a tough fixture.
Pascal Struijk - 5.0: A day to forget for the defender. From our perspective, his costly error for the goal was the defining moment of the game for his team. He seemed to struggle with the physicality of Chelsea's forwards and was dominated in the air. His performance was compounded by committing three fouls and looking shaky throughout. The worst performer on the pitch for us.

Midfielders
Jayden Bogle - 6.5: He worked his socks off down the right flank. Defensively, he was solid, winning three of his four tackles and getting stuck in. He tried to provide an outlet going forward, but his crossing was inconsistent. A tireless performance, but ultimately one that lacked the final bit of quality needed.
Gabriel Gudmundsson - 6.5: It was a similar story for Gudmundsson on the opposite flank. He was diligent in his defensive duties and won the majority of his duels. He got forward when he could but, like Bogle, couldn't produce that telling cross or pass. A hardworking but fruitless evening's work.
Ethan Ampadu - 7.0: The captain really tried to drag his team into the game. He was combative, energetic, and covered a lot of ground in the midfield battle. He put in some crunching tackles and was always looking to play forward. A bit reckless at times, earning himself a yellow card, but you cannot fault his heart and commitment to the cause.
Ao Tanaka - 6.0: He had a couple of speculative shots from distance, but neither troubled the goalkeeper. He kept possession ticking over nicely but really struggled to make any sort of impact in the final third. It felt like the game passed him by a bit before he was substituted.
Forwards
Dominic Calvert-Lewin - 6.0: A really frustrating and thankless task for the striker. He was physically dominated by Chelsea's centre-backs, losing 11 duels and getting very little service. He did manage one decent header that was saved, but for the most part, he was completely isolated. A tough afternoon's work.
Brenden Aaronson - 6.5: In the first half, he looked like Leeds' most dangerous player. He forced a very good save from Sánchez and was always looking to make things happen. His influence faded significantly as the game wore on, and he will be disappointed to have missed a big chance. A bright start that fizzled out.
Noah Okafor - 6.0: A very anonymous performance. He really struggled to get involved in the game, losing possession an alarming 15 times. He had a couple of efforts on goal but never looked like scoring. It was no surprise when he was substituted with about 15 minutes left to play.
Substitutes
Joe Rodon (on for Justin, 45') - 6.5: Came on at half-time and looked solid and composed at the back.
Anton Stach (on for Bijol, 45') - 7.0: Looked very lively when he came on. Added some much-needed energy and drive to the midfield and had a couple of decent efforts from range.
Lukas Nmecha (on for Tanaka, 74') - N/A: Not on long enough to make a significant impact or receive a rating.
Wilfried Gnonto (on for Okafor, 74') - N/A: Brought on to provide a spark but didn't have enough time to do so.
Sean Longstaff (on for Aaronson, 86') - N/A: A late change with no time to influence the match.
Manager
D. Farke - 6.5: His team fought hard and never gave up, but they just lacked that clinical edge in front of goal. The half-time changes showed his intent to be more proactive. Ultimately, his side couldn't find a way to break down a well-organized Chelsea defence, and they bowed out of the cup.
Man of the Match
Enzo Fernández was the man of the match.
