According to some recent reports, the scheduled Messi Modi meet is cancelled due to the busy schedule of India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

Why will Lionel Messi not meet PM Modi?

According to various trusted sources, the Prime Minister is busy with his overseas schedule, following his four-day visit to Jordan, Oman, and Ethiopia. Lionel Messi will complete the GOAT India Tour in the capital of India; after this, a visit is scheduled to the Prime Minister's office. Messi Modi meeting time was scheduled for just 20 minutes. Initially, the Argentine star was set to attend a 50-minute meet and greet session at City Hotel before heading to the PM's residence; that plan fell through once it became clear that the Prime Minister would be travelling.

Delhi police have stepped up security across the central part of the capital, especially around Arun Jaitley Stadium, following the vandalism and chaos that happened in Kolkata. Delhi police chiefs told the media that their main focus will be managing the crowd, access control, and traffic regulations.

Multiple security rings have been created around the venue. Furthermore, police workers and paramilitary forces have been deployed to maintain the huge crowd.
