Will Cristiano Ronaldo come to India As Al Nassr Star Remains in ACL 2 Squad?

Amidst all the uncertainties surrounding the future of Indian Super League, the Gaurs from the smallest state of India wrote a new chapter of Indian football in golden letters. FC Goa went on to defeat Omani outfit and former AFC Cup winners Al Seeb to make it to the AFC Champions League 2, joining Mohun Bagan Super Giant. On the other hand, Karim Benzema's Al Ittihad got the better of Al Qadsiah in the Kings Cup Finals. This defeat saw the third-placed Al Nassr making their way to Asia's premier club competition.

It seemed that the stars aligned perfectly for the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo in India. In this article, we shall find out if there are real chances of the Portuguese superstar coming to India.

Ronaldo has been registered in Al Nassr's ACL 2 squad

Saudi giants Al Nassr have registered 12 foreign players in the ACL 2 squad. The elite list includes many big international icons like Liverpool legend Sadio Mane, French international Kingsley Coman, Portuguese youngster Joao Felix, Croatian maestro Marcelo Brozovic, Brazilian striker duo of Gabriel and Wesley Gassova. Two seasoned internationals, including the likes of Otavio and Inigo Martinez, are also in the squad.

Apart from all the other names, the major attraction in the squad has been the inclusion of the greatest footballer of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese legend's registration has sent waves of happiness all across the Goan beaches.

Will Ronaldo Come to Play in India?

Many rumours suggest that Ronaldo's contract with Al Nassr has a clause that allows him to refrain from participating in Al Nassr's away games. His registration is indeed a big step forward, but that alone does not guarantee his arrival in India. However, Al Nassr are set to play Goa in Fatorda in the earlier away games of the tournament. FC Goa will lock horns against Al Nassr on 22nd October 2025 in Goa and if the stars align perfectly once again, we might be lucky enough to see Cristiano Ronaldo playing at the Fatorda.
