Konstantinos scored his first professional goal on 1st September, 2023 in the Challenger Pro League against RSCA Futures, which made him the youngest ever goalscorer in the history of the Belgian pro-league. However, till now, the best moment of his career would be receiving a call-up for Greece’s national team and scoring a goal in his second match. Karetsas scored a great goal in a 3-0 thrashing of Scotland in the UEFA Nations League, making him the youngest scorer in the history of Greece’s national team as well as the UEFA Nations League.
Although his position often draws comparison to midfielders such as Kevin De Bruyne, Iniesta Karetsas has revealed that he idolizes the Brazilian legends Neymar Jr and Ronaldinho. He even clarified it in an interview, stating that:
“Before every match, I watch videos of my favorite players on YouTube—mostly Brazilians like Neymar and Ronaldinho. I also learn a lot from them because I am a very creative player. During training, I sometimes imitate their moves, and if they work, I try them in matches.”
It is quite clear that Karetsas wants to become like them, since it is evident in his playing style that he is a confident and assertive player who loves taking on defenders.
