Petar Sucic's parents are Croats who lived in Bosnia. Their names are undisclosed and as a result he grew up representing Bosnia at the youth levels. He also captained the U-19 team. His cousin Luca Sucis is also a professional midfielder who plays in the LaLiga with Real Sociedad.
Petar Sucic plays as a defensive midfielder and as such, plays deep in the midfield. Playing as a deep playmaker, he makes precise passes and also insinuates surging runs from the back. When Sucic switched national allegiance, no one was quite as delighted as Zlatko Dalic. Speaking highly of the young prospect after his debut against Portugal in the UEFA Nations League, Dalic said, “ I believe that he is the successor to Marcelo Brozovic." Such high praise from a veteran coach solidifies his credentials as a player, and now it remains to be seen how Inter chooses to use him in their team
