Rav Van Den Berg Career

Rav is a homegrown talent since he was born in Zwolle, Netherlands, and initially trained at CSV 28's academy before joining PEC Zwolle when he was just 14 years old. He has represented the team at various age-group levels and ultimately broke into the senior team, which attracted attention from a lot of big clubs. Ultimately, Middlesbrough signed him, and his impressive performance in the 2023-2024 season made things a lot more interesting. Rav is yet to represent the Netherlands senior team, but has played many games as part of their youth squads.

Club Career

Rav joined his hometown club PEC Zwolle in March 2019. By the time he turned 15, the 2019-2020 season came around, and Rav was called up to train with the senior team in Spain. He then signed a two-year contract with the club in 2020 and made his first team debut in a 2-1 loss to SBV Vitesse at the age of 16. Rav's performances at PEC Zwolle created a decent amount of hype, and Middlesbrough signed him on a five-year contract in 2023. He made his EFL Championship debut against Huddersfield Town in a 3-2 victory. Rav scored his first goal for Middlesbrough against Preston in a 4-0 win. At the end of the 2023-2024 season, Rav was named Middlesbrough's Player Of The Season and Middlesbrough's Young Player Of The Season.
